Austin, TX – Territorium has announced that Dr. Juan “Kiko” Suarez has joined the company as Vice President of Higher Education & Workforce Development Growth for the U.S. market. A former innovation top executive at Lumina Foundation, Suarez brings his diverse background in market development and higher education innovation to Territorium. As a result, the company plans to accelerate its expansion into the United States.
A leader in education technology, Territorium has more than 9 million users worldwide with the focus of implementing a CLR (Comprehensive Learner Record) that measures the skills and competencies students are developing while using AI to help students to move from education to work: in his new role, Dr. Suarez will focus on accelerating the company’s growth in the U.S. market.
“Students are at the core of who we are,” Territorium’s CEO Guillermo Elizondo said. “With Dr. Suarez joining our U.S. team, we will be able to serve an even wider and more diverse population of students in such an important market.”
A native of Spain and longtime U.S. resident, Dr. Suarez joins Territorium after a long tenure as a leader in the education, philanthropic and nonprofit sectors. He has a Ph.D. in Leadership and Change from Antioch University and serves on their board of governors. In addition, Suarez has more than two decades of experience as a global executive in education, communications, and technology. His resume includes serving as vice president of innovation and communications at Lumina Foundation and as global director of corporate communications for CEMEX and regional director for DuPont in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
